Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology
Dr. Jones is board certified in Allergy and Immunology as well as Internal Medicine, and is active in both the American Academy and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. In fact, he is a “fellow” in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI)– the highest level of membership reserved only for those physicians showing “superior proficiency in the practice of allergy-immunology.” In 2013, his peers named him a “Top Doc” in Louisville Magazine’s annual list.
Dr. Jones devotes time to scientific research in Allergy and Immunology, with a particular interest in anaphylaxis and the effects of medications on allergy skin testing. He has published several articles in international medical journals and delivered his findings at a medical symposium in The People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Jones was born and raised on a farm in Tennessee and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1998, with degrees in Chemistry and Biology. His medical education followed at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he was inducted in the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society in 2001, and graduated summa cum laude in 2002. Dr. Jones completed his internal medicine training at the University of Louisville Department of Medicine and was honored as the most outstanding resident in 2005. He completed his fellowship training in allergy and immunology at Vanderbilt University in 2008.
In his spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a physician, daughter, family, and friends as well as traveling, hiking, and pleasure reading.
